Powering the CW magnetron requires voltage of over 4000 V and power up to 3 kW. Specially designed systems perform this task. Because the magnetron is a microwave lamp, its power can only be adjusted by precisely setting the anode voltage and current with simultaneous control of the filament voltage.
The first type is power supplies based on high-voltage transformers connected to a voltage multiplier system. The disadvantage of this solution is the high weight, high starting current and the inability to adjust the power of the magnetron. The efficiency of the power supply depends on the goodness of the oil capacitor. The advantages include stable operation, the ability to place the power supply a long distance from the magnetron (e.g. in a control cabinet) and a low level of electromagnetic interference.
The second type is high power switched-mode power supplies. The disadvantage of these systems is the need to maintain fairly strict conditions of the working environment (this applies to dust, humidity and temperature), the need to place the power supply near the magnetron and relatively high, pulsed electromagnetic interference. The advantages include small dimensions, low weight and the ability to smoothly adjust the power of the magnetron.
MP-1000 switched-mode power supply
It is a compact switched-mode power supply, air-cooled, for magnetrons with a power of 1000 W. Two versions are available: without power regulation and with smooth regulation of magnetron microwave power.
It is mounted in industrial devices and systems operating in continuous or intermittent mode. It can work in systems with many microwave sources. It is characterized by high efficiency, soft start and automatic control of anode current and voltage.
It has small dimensions, about 27 x 17 x 9 cm and a small weight of about 1,2 kg. It is powered from a 230 VAC single-phase network.
MP-1500 switched-mode power supply
Power supply for industrial magnetrons with a maximum power of 1500 W. An effective air cooling system ensures stable and uninterrupted operation at full load. There are two versions to choose from: without power regulation and with smooth regulation of magnetron microwave power.
Soft start, control of current and voltage supply extending the life of the magnetron. The power supply mounted in devices and industrial systems can operate in continuous or intermittent mode.
It has small dimensions, approx. 30 x 20 x 9 cm and a small weight, approx. 1,8 kg. It is powered from a single-phase 230 VAC network.
SPS-1000W switched-mode power supply
Soon this power supply will be available in our offer. It is designed to work with magnetrons with a power of 1000 W, with smooth microwave power regulation. New in this power supplyis a water cooling system.
SPS-1000W has all the features of switched-mode power supplies (small dimensions, low weight, etc.). However, it can work in adverse conditions such as high dustiness or higher ambient temperature.
The power supply is intended for installation in specialized microwave devices and systems. It is powered from a 230 VAC single-phase network.
LC-1500 transformer power supply
The LC-1500 transformer power supply designed and produced by us cooperates with 1500 W magnetrons, without the possibility of power regulation.
The power supply does not have its own casing, all elements are placed on the mounting platform. This is called open frame, designed for mounting in a control cabinet.
The power supply is connected to the magnetron head with cables with a maximum length of 10m, LC-1500 is designed for continuous or intermittent operation. It can work in systems with many microwave sources. It is equipped with electronic soft start and cathode preheating systems. It is powered from a 230 VAC single-phase network.
