MG Series Microwave Generator – Effective Wall Drying and Wood Pest Elimination

microwave generator

The MG Series Microwave Generator is a modern industrial device designed for two key applications: drying walls and foundations and eliminating wood pests in building structures. Thanks to advanced microwave technology and a solid, compact design, this device is ideal for use in residential buildings, as well as industrial or historic facilities.

Main Applications

Drying Walls and Foundations

One of the primary applications of the MG generator is drying walls and foundations made from materials such as concrete, brick, stone, Ytong blocks, or ceramic hollow bricks. Unlike traditional methods, microwave technology can reduce drying time by 2 to 4 times, regardless of external conditions like ambient temperature or material salinity. Microwaves penetrate deep into the wall structure, heating it evenly and accelerating the moisture evaporation process.

Microwave assisted Thermal Injection

Chemical methods block the capillary rise of groundwater through cracks and fissures in the wall. Microwave assisted thermal injection, also known as the thermowave method, allows the hydrophobic agent to penetrate deeper and more effectively.
During the injection, the wall in the application zone is heated using the Microwave Generator to approximately 80 °C. This improves the penetration of the agent while simultaneously drying that section of the wall. The durability and effectiveness of the resulting barrier have been confirmed through tests and practical applications.

Mold and mildew removal

Moist surfaces promote the growth of mold and mildew on walls and wooden elements. Removing plaster while spores and fruiting bodies are active causes them to be inhaled or transferred to other locations. Microwave devices, without chemicals, effectively eliminate this problem. The thickness of the wall or the degree of moisture are irrelevant. You can read about the advantages of this technology on the Microwave Mold and Mildew Removal page.

Wood Pest Elimination

Another important application of the device is eliminating wood pests such as the common furniture beetle or the house longhorn beetle. The MG microwave generator enables effective disinfection of wooden components—e.g., ceiling beams, roof trusses, floors, or antique furniture—without the use of chemicals. Heating the wood to 65–90°C destroys larvae, eggs, and adult insects without damaging the material. Importantly, the entire process is safe for residents and does not require building evacuation.

Service, Support, and Additional Equipment

Purchasing the MG microwave generator includes access to full technical and service support provided directly by the manufacturer. MARKOM offers in-house servicing, allowing for quick repairs and easy access to spare parts. Users can attend free training sessions on device operation and receive ongoing technical support both during purchase and long-term use. Optional accessories are also available to facilitate work with the generator, including telescopic lifts for precise positioning in challenging site conditions.

Proven Solution Since 2012

The MG microwave generator is the result of years of experience and continuous improvement. Since 2012, MARKOM devices have been successfully used by construction, conservation, and service companies throughout Poland and abroad.

Waveguides Dedicated to the Generator

WR340AWSometimes the emitter needs to be placed in a narrow recess, above an obstacle, or in a space where it cannot fit together with the generator. Waveguides make it easier to deliver microwave energy to such locations.

A waveguide transmits microwaves from the generator to the emitter. Energy loss does not exceed 1%.

Waveguides are equipped with mounting flanges. The system developed by MARKOM allows waveguides to be connected without the use of tools. A waveguide can be connected to the generator, the emitter, or another waveguide, creating a custom configuration.

The standard length of a straight waveguide is approximately 0.5 m and 1.0 m.
Bended waveguides are angled at 45° or 90°, in the E-plane (up-down) or H-plane (right-left).

Various versions of straight and bended (angled) waveguides are available.
On request, we can manufacture waveguides of any length and any bending angle.

Telescopic Lifters for MG Microwave Generators

TL340 lifterTelescopic lifters allow for quick and precise positioning of the device at the required height without the need for scaffolding. They are particularly effective for drying higher wall sections and for eliminating wood pests in roof trusses.

Compared to scaffolding, lifters are mobile and easy to operate – one person is enough to reposition them. They take up little space and do not block access to the wall, making them ideal for use in confined spaces.

The structure is made of lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum. Assembly requires no tools, and the adjustable legs ensure stable positioning even on uneven ground. Built-in wheels make transport easier. Depending on the model, the unit weight ranges from 21 to 38 kg.

The lifters are equipped with an electric drive with speed control, overload protection, emergency stop button, and a manual lowering option in case of power failure. Available variants offer a load capacity of 90 kg or 120 kg with a maximum working height of 3.3 m or 4.9 m. Power supply: 230 V.

These devices are fully compatible with MG microwave generators. Thanks to interchangeable platforms, they form a functional system for work in demanding field conditions. All models comply with applicable EU directives.

Adjustable Mounting Platforms – Precise Tilt Control

mounting platformsMounting platforms are an essential addition to telescopic lifters, enabling precise positioning of microwave generators within the working area. Thanks to their innovative aluminum-alloy construction, they allow quick adjustment of the working angle (–30° to +90°) to local conditions, while ensuring safety with integrated locking systems. This is an optimal solution for professional wall drying and wood pest disinfestation.

Available Solutions

  1. Compact Platform

Made entirely of aluminum alloy and powder-coated, it is mounted directly onto the telescopic mast without tools. Designed to hold up to two microwave generators, it allows tilting in a single plane from -30° to +90°. The tilt angle is precisely adjusted using an ergonomic control knob.

  2. Dual-Axis Tilting System

A more advanced solution consisting of two independent platforms moving along a mounting beam on rolling carriages. Two separate worm gears allow the beam to tilt in both X and Y planes at any desired angle. The system is equipped with position locks and braking elements for maximum operational safety.
